Hello again! with Cody announcing the revamp of this site and the fact that the blogging feature is back, it's only fitting to me at least that I re start all this since I really did enjoy it. I still have the post it note full of topic ideas that I didn't get to sitting on my laptop waiting to be delved into, and so far I'm thinking: 'mogai and the effect on lesbains', 'the native tucute argument', or 'how to engage in discourse and the effects of it in the 'real world' ' (to quote the post it note directly). If any of thse catch your attention especially then drop a comment and I'll start researching and drafting some posts!

On top of this, I've had it in my mind to do this but as video essays on youtube - that was my plan when the blogging featre went down but I've not the time to learn how to edit, and there's somehting about youtube that feels more,,finite I guess. That said though, come the summer when I've some time on my hands there may be a cheeky plug to the youtube I'll use for this somwhere on my account. Any tips in this sense would also be greatly appriciated!

content warning: mention of dysphoria, not in depth. Not sure what will trigger ppls dyphoria but it's best to be on the safe side

An issue I see crop up a lot in online discourse is the idea that you cannot talk on a topic if you've not expirenced everything that's happend in theat topic firsthand. This comes across in all areas of identiy politics and social issues, from race to religion to gender apparently if you've not expirenced it you cannot know anything about it and under no circumstances can you say a thing about it. I think this is bullshit, bluntly, and for my examples I'm going to use my personal expiriences of gender.

I'm a cisgendered girl, and my only firsthand expirences with being quote en quote 'trans' is that to months when I was 13 or 14 when I thought I was genderfluid because I liked looking not femme sometimes (post idea about gender roles just popped into my head, my note for post ideas is a good 15 strong now). However, I have a lot of secondhand expirences with transmasculine/males, all of which had dysphoria. One of my firends I chose his first name, got him his first binder and I've wa...

If you've been on involved in the pride, discourse or flop community for any period of time you've most likely came across a plethora of versions of the acronym. These could be but are not limited to: LGBT, LGBT+, LGBTQ, LGBTQ+, LGBTA, LGBTIA, LGBTIA+, LGBTIAP+, or (my personal favourite clusterfuck of letters and symbols) LGBTQIAP2,,,+. Even when researching this post good old pink news hit me with the LGBTQQIAAP as the opening graphic, and the title acronym in the ms blog magazine post is LGBPTTQQIIAA+ (which to me sounds like shitty dubstep) these highlight oblem that I'm adressing. Every addition to the acronym and every positioning change is like me adding garlic bread onto food that isn't vaugley Italian. In this post I'll address the problem with it, the solutions that others have posed and the solution I'd like to impose on you all.

But first, a history lesson.

The slang term gay came about in description for both gay men and women in the 1940's and 50's, but around the 60's and 70's gay women in each decades respective feminist movement coined the term lesbian as gay became mainly associated with men. G...

While this blog feature is still available I'm probably going to use it for general ranting about problems I've come across since I began getting involved in online discourse and just issues with the pride community in general. Along with this I'll probably put shitty advice about how to engage in discourse, how to handle those on opposing sides to you and what I wish both sides would do when they come across each other. Most of this will be about the lesbain community, ace discourse, truscum/transmed v tucute, or tumblr ideologies, though I'll litter in topical things here and there be they topical of the UK where I'm from or topical in internet spheres. The posts will also be kinda long so I doubt people will read until the end but if you're interested in one persons problems with the community she's affiliated with written in a somewhat eloquent way then stay tuned for anything from daily to every few month posts ^-^

Taking advantage of this while it’s heere as a wee introduction to myself! I’m Allie, a 16 year old cis lesbian from England, and this is all literally about me so be prepared for a lot of facts and not a lot of humour tbh lads. I’m a borderline inclusionist, obviously a transmed and I’m anti mogai/terf/map/anything fucking stupid really. I’d describe myself as somewhat a socialist but definitely on the hard left, with a passion for politics and media studies with me taking them for my A-levels so all good there, I also love music and learning drum which I’d recommend to anyone thinking of taking up an instrument, it’s actually great. I’m into pop punk/rock shit and p much anything around that area, though I do unashamedly like rap and 00s pop along with that so y’all can see I’m a mess. Basically then Hello! I’m buzzed to be here and hope this is a wholesome place where we can promote unity, respect and decency in discourse and don’t be afraid to drop me a message if you fancy!
