does anyone actually get offended by nontrans ppl using the word tranny? if someone i wasn't close to said it to me then yeah i would be a bit thrown off but on ft last night my girlfriend out of nowhere whispered "when i see a tranny i floor it" and i lost my SHIT it was so fucking funny. is it weird that it doesn't bother me when my friends say it or am i just a yeehaw fag

if you're using it as an insult then yeah it's bad and personally i think only trans people should reclaim the slur but idk i think that's fine bc its ok with u. if someone u dont know says randomly "i hate tr*nnies" but as a joke it would still be offensive bc u don't know its a joke and they don't know if ur ok with it.

honestly i don't but with other slurs like faggot or q*eer i do. the only really tranny doesn't bother me is because the word doesn't have any bad background and literally JUST means tranny. but if they're using it to e offensive or towards soemone who is uncomfortable with it, yes. but if its in a friendly way , towards me or someone who reclaimed it or a general joke i think tats completelyt fine
